Throughout the years, we share our stories, our problems, our frustrations, as well as our successes. We do this in the name of service and brotherhood so we have the opportunity to learn by example. Exposure to these stories will hopefully provide both information and motivation to raise the quality of our organization to the next level.
As we prepare to celebrate Mother’s Day this weekend, I suggest you look no further than the role of a mother for motivation and example. Let’s consider her job description. A mother is willing to put the needs of others in front of her own needs. A mother will go to extremes to protect and provide even to the extent of putting herself in harm’s way. A mother is willing to do just about anything for her child even when it is undeserved.
My family is quite fortunate to be spending this special occasion with our mother. Rosa Velasquez Adriano is still strong and spry at a grand age of 88. Happy Mother’s Day mommy!
In closing, I have a question for you. Do you act like your mother to raise the quality of our organization or are you a spoiled brat who goes into tantrums when you do not get what you want?
