Brods and Sis,
I would like to thank brod Ben Castro, ARNA RD and ACNA President, for facilitating the successful meeting last night. Also would like to thank sis Au Castro for accommodating us in her store, Goldilocks. Special appreciation to my ka chap Denny Trafalgar and my fellow GLAian Bong Estrada for being my bodyguards and chauffeurs. 🙂 Thank you too to all who attended the meeting, some had to drive more than 2 hours (one way) just to attend. Thank you also to brod Andy Cordero (NORCAL Prexy) and wife for opening up their home for a fellowship afterwards.
Further to brod Ben’s statement below, we are reinvigorating the Global Gift Giving program that APO Phils had launched last March 2008 in cooperation with LIUF. We have a MOA (APO Phils/LIUF) covering this project. This time around, as mentioned by brod Ben Castro, we are looking for 2,000 donor brethren for P10,000.00 ($220.00) to raise P20MM for an APO Building that will house the Librado I Ureta Center. Target is mid 2010 and hopefully we have our building by end of 2010. Donations from North America will be tax-deductible since it will be coursed thru ETA AA NA, a 501C3 corporation. Thank you brod Manny Martinez, ETA AA NA President, for the special effort and accommodation. ETA AA NA will only act as a conduit of funds and, needless to say, it will not retain any percentage of the funds. Donations can be made in lump sum or in several monthly installment.

In the near future, we will have a dynamic page in our web site for this project that will also accept credit/debit cards donation. More detailed information on this project as things develop.
As of to date, the Global Gift Giving Fund have P600,000.00 plus in cash deposits in the Philippines. Still a long way to go but we are hoping that everyone will dig deeper in their pockets to support the realization of our dream to have our very own building. Together everyone achieves more. Nothing is impossible with a united APO.
