In view of the devastation wrought to large swaths of Northern and Central Luzon by Typhoon LANDO, the undersigned has created Task Force Lando, headed by the Regional Director of the National Capital Administrative Region, with members consisting of the Regional Director and the Section Chairs of the Northern Luzon Administrative Region. As initial funding for the relief operations, the Board of Directors has authorized the release of the amount of ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS (P100,000.00), subject to reimbursement, for the immediate relief of our brothers and sisters in the affected areas.
The mandate of Task Force Lando is not merely to provide immediate relief to our brothers and sisters in the typhoon hit areas but also to assist them in the rehabilitation of their homes and livelihood, for which the Task Force shall exist for six (6) months, from October 26, 2015 to March 2016. During the said period, the Task Force may ask for the assistance of any instrumentality or agency of the organization to effectively perform its mandare.
In view of all the foregoing, the Regional Directors are instructed to inform the collegiate and alumni associations within their jurisdiction to provide whatever assistance may be extended to our brothers and sisters in the Typhoon Lando distressed areas. All financial assistance shall be collected and deposited to the account of Alpha Phi Omega International Phils., Inc., S/A No. 149-010-3668, Banco de Oro Anonas Branch, while donations in kind may be coursed through the National Office, at the address above-stated. Thereafter, the Regional Director shall submit a written Report (sent by email to ned10799@yahoo.com) stating the name/s of the donor, the kind of contribution (including the amount if in cash or check) for the proper recording, reporting and accounting. The NED shall, thereafter, upon verification, send likewise by email the confirmation of receipt of the said donation/s.
On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Executive Council, the undersigned is appealing to our brothers and sisters to help our disaster stricken brothers and sisters.
