My Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The opportunity you gave me to lead Alpha Phi Omega Philippines provides me with blazing spirit to hurdle all the barriers fronting us. And I am losing no hope in this stage in the life of our beloved fraternity that all of us will one day be holding each other’s arms and clasping each other’s hands as we did in the past tradition of respect and acknowledgment of oneness as a strong family.
Despite being confronted with insurmountable challenges and multifarious problems, we are able and ready to chart our course of actions as a unified organization. Some may criticize us in extending our arms and reaching out to our brothers and sisters in the other groups that are having some degree of discontent or gripes against the leadership – past and present. This acknowledgment and extension of arms for unity should and must not be considered by some onion-skinned individuals as betrayal of the trust they reposed upon us. But rather be considered as an act of an able leader, which is aimed at reinforcing further our fraternal relationships. A simple but noble task demanded from each and every one of us to do.
“Hindi natin maitatanggi na kapatid natin sila, muli natin silang yakapin upang maibalik ang isang pamahayan na puno ng ligaya at pagmamahalan. At sa aral ng ating Dakilang Lumikha ay dapat nating pagpunuan ng ibayong pagmamahal ang ating mga kapatid na naghahanap ng ating paglingap.”
With all humility, I am appealing to all our sisters and brothers in all your chosen affiliations to demolish the walls that divide us and start building bridges that will link us. Share with us your worth in our efforts of framing relevant and responsive approach towards a unified and steeled Alpha Phi Omega in the Philippines. Hinihikayat ng inyong pamunuan na sama-sama nating pagpunuan ang ating mga pagkukulang batay sa ating kakayanan. Simulan po natin ito sapagka’t ito ang dakilang pamana natin sa susunod na salin-lahi ng ating kapatiran.
This year’s anniversary we would like everyone to rally behind this buzz line “Balik Chapter ng Marso, Sulong sa Subic ng Mayo”. Respective Alumni of chapters are encouraged to join their Collegiate counterparts in celebrating our National Anniversary.
