Good morning Brothers and Sisters:

The recently-concluded #APOPHGA2019Laoag was a resounding success in all possible respects, thanks to all brothers and sisters who participated in this event. I hope and pray that everybody are back to their respective homes and bases, safe and sound.

I am happy to report that as of initial tally, there was a total of 1,051 members who registered in Laoag. In a few days we will complete our final count as we reconcile records from online registration.

It may not be the highest attendance in APO Convention history, however, this number has significantly reaffirmed our faith in the collective APO spirit: We shall always rally behind our very own ideals and emerge united, no matter what is in front of us.

A strong teamwork led by the National Administrative Office, APO LINAC, #APOPHGA2018Subic, and our untiring volunteers have worked countless hours to make sure requirements were covered. And just like any other event, this one was never without its own challenges. But they only put to the test our bond as brothers and sisters. They also provided ‘colors’ that made our APO lives exciting!

At the end of the day, these challenges will become lessons to learn from and will always be part of our history.

Yesterday, we held post-assessment conference where we focused on what we learned from our experiences and the areas we can improve on to contribute to best practices in future Conventions & GA. Our findings and agreements will be turned-over to the newly-elected officers DY 2019-21 by the incumbent leadership.

Congratulations to NEVP and now NP-elect Tatang Ferry, SMAR RD and now Chairman-elect Bro Gerry Arbis and to all the incoming BOT who made it to the magic-10 in the recently concluded GA Elections in Laoag. May you continue to inspire all of us and put APO to greater heights. Daily working, daily striving.

(On our last month of service for this development year, our goal is to turn over all records and projects initiated by this administration with COMPLETE and AUDITED financial records, and accompanying documents.)

My family and I will always be grateful and forever indebted to all my APO friends, fraternal brothers and sisters, who stood with me during hard times, and who remain standing with me in better times. You know who you are, here’s sending you my positive thoughts with thanks!

Mabuhay ang nag-iisang tunay na Alpha Phi Omega!

Our journey has been nothing short of heroic. We’ve seen our members respond to calamities, build schools, lead campaigns, rise in government, shape education, start change. We are builders — of bridges, of dreams, of nations. That is the story of Alpha Phi Omega. And today, we write its next chapter.
